A-Z Challenge Day 3- C is for...

Chicago!

I admit, I never had heard of the musical until the movie was released in 2002. And even then, I didn't really care to see it. I had no clue what it was about. But then I was flipping channels one day and came across the weekend countdown on VH1. One of the videos on the countdown was for All That Jazz sung by Catherine Zeta Jones. The video was scenes from the movie. The music, the dancing, the costumes...yeah...I was hooked.

I saw the movie, I saw two different stage productions, I bought the soundtrack. I loved it all.

  8. I've seen both the movie and stage production. Both are awesome! I'm one of those people who cannot sit still when I'm watching one of my favorite musicals. I'm singing quietly and dancing in my seat!

My other favorites include Bat Boy and Little Shop of Horrors! Great post!

  14. I love musicals. I had seen Cabaret a few times, but never Chicago (unless you count the movie All That Jazz) until the film. I immediately bought the Karaoke disks and overdosed on it. I stopped listening to the soundtrack regularly when my daughter, then 2, was singing, "...Where the gin is cold but the piano's HOT!" Lol

  17. Never seen it, as I have similar preconceived opinions.

But then again, I felt the same way about Cirque du Soleil until I finally saw it in Vegas, and now I am somewhat obsessed.
