Lingerie or Books? Choose Your Own Prize Giveaway!

Valentine's Day is upon us. That one day of the year when everyone scrambles to show the one they love how much they love them by purchasing chocolates, roses, and stuffed animals. While I am a firm believer that gifts do not show how a person feels--it's very easy to go to the store and buy something--the thought and effort do show it. If you really think about the person and give them a gift you know they will truly love, something special and meaningful, that does show love and appreciation for that person. Listen to the ones you love. Listen to what they don't say. The gift is more than just a material item.

But this week I am totally giving away a material prize! And it's your choice!

My newest release, TRY ME ON FOR SIZE, is set in a lingerie store.

They cater to woman and couples, eventually branching out to men's things. Mia and Bryn's goal has always been to provide their customers with quality products and expert advice. And they know just how important lingerie can be. And not just for lovers to ogle. The right lingerie can make a woman (or man) feel sexy and beautiful, confident and courageous.

But if lingerie isn't your thing, a sexy book can do the trick too ;) I love a great romance. (Duh! That's why I write it!) The sparks and the passion, the gotta-have-you-now-or-I'll-die moments. I love being sucked in for the roller coaster of emotion.

Giving away the milk for free????

Lately I've been wondering what the best way is to reach readers and get them to buy your books.

I'm on Twitter, I blog, I Facebook. I occasionally visit Goodreads and Amazon message boards and groups. I participate in blog hops. I run contests.

I recently did a reader survey to find out what entices readers (read it here) and most readers told me they get most book recommendations from friends. Makes sense. If you love a book, you tell the world. So I've assembled a Street Team and will be shipping out promo packets in the next few days. Hopefully that's a step in the right direction.

But recently I was told readers have found new authors by free Kindle reads. Who doesn't like free??? Just about anyone will give a free book a chance. No loss if they hate it. But if they like it, and like the author's style and voice, will they go out and buy their other books? This is what I'm wondering now.

What do you guys think??? Has anyone done this before??? I am not self published...so I'm not sure it's even possible for me to give my book away for free on Kindle.

Spoooooooooooktacular Giveaway!!!!

It's almost Halloween!!!! I personally love Halloween....who doesn't love candy??? But I really adore coming up with creative costumes and donning them! I've been Like a Virgin Madonna, a package of Smarties, Monopoly, a Dancing with the Stars Champion, Mother Nature, The Leg lamp...just to name a few! :) Hubby's been Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Fartman, Ralphie........it's been really fun! We jump at any chance to wear a costume, actually! We've donned many 80's outfits and most recently went disco for a party!
