Have you ever paid it forward??? I try to always live my life by treating people how I want to be treated and always giving the utmost respect. I try to help others as much as I possibly can, but I do admit, sometimes my time is limited. Kids and a home take up quite a bit of time. But I do what I can!!!
In my writers group, I sometimes have newbie writers ask if I can review their work, give some advice, etc... So even when my writing time is limited, I try to help out my fellow writers whenever I can!! And the seasoned vets in my group...they've helped me out numerous times and I am completely thankful!! I would not be where I am today without their help and endless support!!!
And a different kind of help, that I thoroughly enjoy giving, is Disney Advice. I am a huge fan of Disney World and after several trips, I am pretty good at planning!! I even started my own Disney Blog to help others plan their trips!!
I am also talking about paying it forward becuase Shelli at market My words is hosting a FANTABULOUS contest called Pay It Forward Contest!! Please check it out!! The prize is a great one...her personal recommendation to her agent for the winning pitch! Sweet!!

Pay it forward are words to live by. I hope you have a lovely week!!!!
ReplyDeleteHey! I'm totally doing this contest as well!
ReplyDeleteI have a pretty "hard" exterior, but always go above and beyond for friends and even sometimes total strangers (took on a stranger as a partner in a tournament this weekend so he could play). I think it's just good for yourself.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check out that contest, thanks so much for the recommendation. :)
I love helping fellow writers, hence my blog. I could have picked a different topic to write about other than the craft and business of writing- heaven knows how many kind of blogs there are like mine out there- but I know how I value those blogs and so I wanted to share my own experiences and opinions and share the wealth. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove that you started a Disney Blog! I wish it would have been around last year when I was in Florida for the RWA conference! Must go check it out nonetheless, cuz it sounds awesome!
hello! the disney blog is awesome - we are going this year so I am heading there now! Thanks for putting all the info together :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not easy giving up precious time for another person's writing... but I agree it is essential. Where would we be if no one had ever taken the time?
ReplyDeleteAs long as someone doesn't ask me to edit their entire novel for free, LOL. At his point, I'm already editing all my own work and my hubby-man's Star Wars gaming blog.
Exactly! We all need the feedback, but in order to get it, we have to put the time in too!
