I didn't visit the blog (the warning came up in their blogger profile). But I emailed the person to apologize for not visiting their blog (since I think it's good manners to do that when someone visits yours, ya know?) and let them know why I couldn't visit their site.

The woman was very kind and gracious but explained what the warning was for--the very, VERY occasional post, etc. So I felt okay about visiting her site after that and it was just fine!ali crosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13023009704454279645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199356305799744530.post-86629001976418273352011-07-15T14:50:07.327-04:002011-07-15T14:50:07.327-04:00now you have me wondering what you are going to do...now you have me wondering what you are going to do to make that warning apply, very tittalating for sure. hmmmm, need to come and see what you are going to write next, but I also thought it was funny to just throw that warning out there! bery funny! Great sense of humor for sure! =o) now im off to follow you! =0)Debbie Davishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05327044979542154619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199356305799744530.post-61126017666363308772011-07-14T09:31:18.951-04:002011-07-14T09:31:18.951-04:00Thanks for sharing Beth. Thanks so much for stopping by!Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17401931638397651614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199356305799744530.post-59290604994890600102011-07-13T17:42:54.692-04:002011-07-13T17:42:54.692-04:00I usually don't read blogs w/ adult content wa...I usually don't read blogs w/ adult content warnings, though I appreciate adult content warnings. However, I've never seen anything inappropriate on your blog, so when I saw Warning in my side bar, I clicked it to see what it was about.

...And I think what the last person said is a good idea. That way ppl who might not read graphic material can avoid those posts but still enjoy other posts.Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09962862566388212238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199356305799744530.post-36634243254888868932011-07-13T16:29:13.631-04:002011-07-13T16:29:13.631-04:00I normally only post a content warning on specific...I normally only post a content warning on specific posts. So if I have a particularly steamy chapter going up, or a post that will be more risque than normal, I put at the very top of the post centered in bright orange letters, something like:

***If you are easily offended by graphic material, or are under 18 years old, do not read further.***

That way those who prefer to avoid such things can click away without reading any more, and the rest of my readers (some of whom actually get excited when they see that warning on a post LOL), can read on and enjoy.

I don't think I'd ever put a content click screen on my entire blog. That would keep too many people out, IMO.Jamie D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05486427517423813962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199356305799744530.post-28933443327266841772011-07-13T11:07:30.079-04:002011-07-13T11:07:30.079-04:00*Sigh* That's what i was afraid of Piper. I guess I'm just afraid of someone complaining to Blogger and them shutting me down. I've built such a following here and I don't want to lose it.

Thanks Heidi!! That means so much!!!Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17401931638397651614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199356305799744530.post-62518093357787983512011-07-13T10:26:20.008-04:002011-07-13T10:26:20.008-04:00I guess because I know you and your blog, I'm ...I guess because I know you and your blog, I'm not deterred. But even without the warning, I never open your blog when my kids are in the room. This means during their lunch, before or after work, etc.

And a few stuffed shirts won't even try to read your blog if they hit that warning, thinking it might be something "worse". Just sayin'.Piper Dennahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01456792447298772844noreply@blogger.com
