The book needs an overhaul anyway..so I think I may do all my other editing first then go back and work on switching the POV...I'll have two versions of the story when I'm through. Sigh...no one can ever say I'm a lazy writer!Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17401931638397651614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199356305799744530.post-67881627796011022172009-11-10T11:12:22.794-05:002009-11-10T11:12:22.794-05:00I am a reader not a writer :) and I am one more vo...I am a reader not a writer :) and I am one more vote for 3rd.Daynahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14420111601669542558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199356305799744530.post-43833793452338520582009-11-09T21:43:41.140-05:002009-11-09T21:43:41.140-05:00I liked first person just a tad more than third. w...I liked first person just a tad more than third. which is a bit strange because normally I don't like first as well but in anycase I would continue reading. :)BK Mattinglyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13758638245846622284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199356305799744530.post-91437538459244516962009-11-09T19:13:25.175-05:002009-11-09T19:13:25.175-05:00Hi! I also think it helps keep you in character in those moments when as writers we can slip away and start 'just writing'. I prefer writing in first, but find that third keeps me more disciplined. But to be honest, it has to be what works for the story. If you attempt a POV change, will that change the character angles?deletedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10450412187773242714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199356305799744530.post-55494860939275197002009-11-09T18:13:15.173-05:002009-11-09T18:13:15.173-05:00Oh that's true. Good luck in whatever you decide. There is something so sexy about hearing the man's thoughts about the woman. However, rewriting an entire project is a big task, so I would really dig into what you would be able to add to the story by including the hero's POV--make sure it's worth the work. :)Roni Lorenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02719679344024635326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199356305799744530.post-54290880056447940292009-11-09T16:52:05.329-05:002009-11-09T16:52:05.329-05:00Hmm...well...both sound great to me. Or one that's still emotionally connected, but a different angle? Personally I always loved first person caused I like the feeling of being a fly on the wall inside the character's head. But the Pov is limited a bit more then if you wrote third person. Haha..I'm probably not helping much am I?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
